"Club Events" are those that are run by the club and require a sign up and possibly payment to go. It is best to communicate through facebook/email to let us know you are attending any of the events so we know to expect your attendance. Royal Botanical Gardens ... Frog Exhibition

A Chorus of Colours introduces visitors to the amazing and colorful world of frogs. These amphibians are among the most visually stunning, vocally pleasing, and adaptively remarkable life forms on earth. If you’ve never thought of frogs as beautiful, this exhibition will change your mind !!!
With leaping frogs to slithering snakes, wetlands are home to a wide diversity of plants and animals. Hop on over to The Frog Pond to meet some of the wetland species found at Royal Botanical Garden and discover their important roles in sustaining a healthy environment.
If you want to organize as a group and go, feel free to do so.

Details:
Lighting and Portraiture
Main session will be a demonstration of portrait photography techniques starting with using on camera flash, hot shoe mounted flash, bounce lighting, off camera remote slave control flashes and radio frequency controlled lighting and other related equipment.
Members are also invited to bring their camera and tripod along to experiment with the constant lighting system and backdrops available for use at the library following the main session.

Overview of the Norfolk Photography Club & Schedule
Held at the Simcoe branch of the Norfolk County Library, lower meeting room unless otherwise noted.
Please note, this following only lists future meeting dates held indoors at the library, not outings and is subject to change.
The library meeting room is accessible the stairs well facing the Food Basics / Giant Tiger Mall or via the library main floor elevator. The library is centrally located for all members of the group, ie those that walk, those that need to access the elevator and provides ample parking.
In the past years, the library also provided the photography club with use of the main wall display for one month of the year, The group looks forward to continuing with this opportunity to showcase approximately 2 images of each members work on this display. The Friends of the Library program have provided a large touch screen monitor to the Library, which the group can utilize during meeting and also has lighting equipment and back drops to utilize through the John Race community MakerSpace program.
Meetings begin a 6:30 pm and aim to wrap up at 7:45 pm. Plan to arrive earlier to make most effective use of group time. Elevator access is limited to 7:50 pm. Members are welcome to stay longer and socialize.
